PHONE PHOTOGRAPHY

Many photographers, enthusiast and professionals, are quick to dismiss the value of a mobile phone as means of capturing quality images. Fact is, phones are quite rapidly catching up with professional-grade mirrorless  and DSLR cameras. Indeed, they are not at the same standard yet, but the gulf in quality and capability isn't as much as you may expect. 

Hopefully the images presented on this page will demonstrate that really cool images are obtainable using a camera that virtually everyone has in their pocket every day, everywhere they go.  Not owning a "professional" camera should therefore not preclude creativity.

All images captured on my Huawei Mate 10 Pro with Dual Leica lenses*. Some images are developed RAW files, whereas others are minor edits to the Jpegs produced by the phone.

*recently replaced with a Huawei P20 Pro
